Candle Care & Maintenance
Thank you for choosing our hand-crafted candle.
A little care goes a long way toward a clean, long-lasting, and safe burn.
Before Your First Burn
Place your candle on a heat-safe, level surface.
Keep away from drafts, curtains, pets, and anything that can catch fire.Check the wick.
If it’s longer than ¼ inch (about 6 mm), trim it to that length before lighting.Let it come to room temperature.
Very cold candles may tunnel or burn unevenly at first.
During Each Burn
Burn long enough to melt the top layer of wax edge-to-edge.
This usually takes 2–4 hours, depending on the size of the candle.
This helps prevent “tunneling” and extends the life of your candle.
Never burn longer than 4 hours at a time.
Extinguish, let the candle cool, trim the wick, and relight if you’d like to continue enjoying it.Keep the wax pool clean.
Gently remove any wick trimmings, matches, or debris from the melted wax.
Wick Care
Trim before every burn.
Keep the wick about ⅛–¼ inch (3–6 mm).
A properly trimmed wick reduces soot, smoking, and large, mushroom-shaped flames.
If the flame is too high or flickering a lot:
Extinguish the candle.
Let the wax cool and harden.
Trim the wick slightly and relight.
Extinguishing Your Candle
Do not blow directly onto the wax.
This can splash hot wax.Use a snuffer or gently dip the wick into the melted wax and straighten it back up.
This helps reduce smoke and keeps the wick primed for the next burn.Allow the candle to cool completely before moving or replacing the lid.
Safety First
Never leave a burning candle unattended.
Keep away from children and pets.
Stop burning when about ½ inch (1–1.5 cm) of wax remains at the bottom of the vessel to prevent overheating or glass damage.
Do not burn on or near anything that can catch fire.
Storage & Longevity
Store with the lid on (if provided) to keep dust and debris off the wax.
Keep out of direct sunlight and extreme heat.
This helps preserve the fragrance and prevents discoloration or sweating.Use within 12–18 months for the freshest fragrance experience.
